We are in the homestretch of Social Studies 7, and finishing the marking period exploring the events of the Civil War. Aligned with William Glasser's theory that "we retain 95% of the information we learn if we teach it to others" students have taken on the challenge of research, creating lessons and activities to teach their fellow students. They are creating some amazing lessons.
In addition, students continue to explore their passions working on “Passion Projects” / "Genius Hour" every Friday (approx. 2 class periods each month). They are so excited to be able to thoughtfully pursue ideas and interests personal to them. They will be able to present their works of self-discovery to fellow classmates and parents at our Genius Fair, on June 10th!
Please continue to follow the calendar within this blog to ensure assignments, homework and test dates are accomplished on time.
